Chromite Sand
High Cr₂O₃ content (46%+), low silica, melting point around 2,180°C. The standard choice for steel and high-alloy castings where silica sand can't handle the heat. Produced in AFS 30–55 fineness grades depending on your gate system and application.
Silica Sand
A cost-effective option for lower-temperature applications and general foundry use, where chromite's extra thermal performance isn't required.
